Day 1 - Airport - Negombo
Day 2 - Negombo - Kandy
In the morning we travel to Kandy, the last capital of the ancient Kingdoms. We visit the Royal Botanical Garden and Temple of the tooth and witness traditional rituals and experience the spiritual atmosphere of this revered place. Kandy also boasts picturesque surroundings, including the serene Kandy Lake, lush botanical gardens, and the scenic Hanthana Mountain range. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 3 - Kandy - Knuckles - Kandy
The Knuckles Mountain Range, located in the central highland, is a breathtaking natural landscape and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Named for its resemblance to a clenched fist, the Knuckles Mountains offer a paradise for nature enthusiasts and hikers. The region is characterized by mist-covered peaks, cascading waterfalls, lush forests, and a rich biodiversity. Day 4 - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
We travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, the highest city in Sri Lanka. Along the way we visit a We then go to a Tea factory to see how tea leaves are plucked, dried, ground and produced to get the tea in your cup. We also visit the "Lovers Leap" waterfall, one of the many beautiful waterfalls in the hills. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 5 - Nuwra Eliya - Horton Plains - Nuwara Eliya
We take a trekking tour in Horton Plains National Park, a unique and breathtaking destination renowned for its picturesque landscapes and diverse ecosystem. This protected area is characterized by vast grasslands, misty cloud forests, and dramatic cliffs, offering stunning views and serene surroundings. The highlight of Horton Plains is the iconic World's End, a sheer precipice that provides awe-inspiring panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. We follow to Baker's Falls and trek through the scenic trails, encountering unique flora and fauna along the way. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6 - Nuwara Eliya - Udawalawa
We travel to see Diyaluma Falls, the second tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. Wtnes the sheer power and beauty of nature as the water gracefully plunges down the rocky cliffs, creating a spectacular sight. The area surrounding the falls is also ideal for adventurous activities such as swimming in the natural pools or hiking up to the top for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. We then move to wildlife safari in Udawalawa National Park, renowned wildlife sanctuary known for its abundant elephant population. The park spans across diverse landscapes, including grasslands, marshes, and forests, providing a natural habitat for various species of animals and birds. Overnight in Udawalawa.
Day 7 - Udawalawa - Sinharaja Forest
Sinharaja Forest, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the last remaining rainforests in the country. Exploring Sinharaja Forest offers a unique opportunity to witness the wonders of a tropical rainforest, with its towering trees, dense vegetation, and a rich variety of flora and fauna. Day 8 - Sinharaja - Airport/Negombo
We travel back to the airport or to a hotel of your choise to end the tour.
